This is one of my favorite spots at Fort Worden State Park in Port Townsend, WA. I’m not sure why, except that you are standing on a cement runway that a huge WWI era spotlight ran on out to the edge of a cliff. There you can look (almost) straight down to the beach. I’ve taken this same photo a number of times over the years. These are two that caught my eye as I was working on selecting images for the blog this week.
I really like how those two trees seem to be leaning away from each other. I imagine them holding roots underground.
I love the different colors of green in your first one, especially the water…Very calming
