Hello All. Those of you who are regular followers of my blog may have noticed an interruption in my regular every-other-day posting schedule. The day of my last post (August 25th) my wife and I rode our eBikes up the Dosewallips River Road past the washouts and up to the old Dosewallips Campground. The image above shows the Dosewallips falls that sits about a half mile from the campground and is one of the attractions of that area.
We had a nice ride until the return trip when just after departing the campground, my bike hit a rock and the front tire kicked sideways and I left the road. Fortunately, I was only traveling 3 mph (5 kmph). However, the ground was not level and I dropped down a few feet (with the bike following on top of me) before stopped by a small alder tree and cracking 3 ribs on my lower right back. It was painful and I spent a few days in hospital.
I’m on the road to recovery, but am taking this time to reflect. My blog schedule is subject to review. I will let you all know what the result is. In the meantime, I will spend some time healing up.
Thank you all for you support. It means a lot to me.
PS Does anyone want to buy an eBike?
So sorry, Allan. Beautiful photo.
Wow! I wondered where you were. So sorry to hear about your fall, Allan, but glad it wasn’t worse. I hope you heal well and quickly. And nope, no interest in an eBike. 😊
