
I was out puttering in the front yard and heard pecking at a tree in the green belt, so I went and grabbed my camera. I finally located the Northern Flicker that was banging away on a dead tree. I’m hoping for it to nest there and give me the chance to catch some photos of young. We’ll see.
While I was shooting the flicker, I glanced up and saw this eagle flying overhead. So I took a photo of it too.

Looks as if you pressed the button at just the right second. What a majestic sight.
Well, I have to admit that I was shooting about 4 frames per second…
Ha. I was editing another bird photo where I was using high frame rate. Got mixed up between which image was which. that one was just single frame per shuttle push. and Thanks again.
