This is a typical Western Washington lowland forest of second growth Douglas Fir and Western Hemlock (with a Madrone thrown in for variety).

  1. This reminds me of the book I’m currently reading, The Overstory by Richard Powers. It’s a complex book celebrating plants, trees and forests and man’s imprint on all of them. I love and appreciate your photos!
