I thought this was pretty nice when I took the image. It doesn’t hit me the same way now, even with some significant masking work. It’s still nice … but it’s different that I originally imagined.

I love the subject! I think what you like is the lack of contrast since the soil is frosty too. It kind of swallows up the image of the fern. Still very pretty though.
