I was hiking out to Hurricane Hill in Olympic National Park and on the return there were a couple deer coming down the hillside. This is a very highly traveled area and the animals are used to people … that and they have never experienced hunting. So, this young buck was a lot less nervous than in areas where there is an annual hunting season. They stopped alongside the trail and were grazing some of the wild flowers.
While I had my zoom all the way out at 300mm, this image isn’t cropped at all. I got closer, but this is the image that was the most interesting.
