This pool is at Bloedel Reserve on Bainbridge Island. There wasn’t much of a breeze today as we walked by and the water was very calm. I had to bump up the ISO a little to keep the aperture at f/8 and still be able to hand hold.
After conversion to Black and White, I was drawn into the reflection of the trees. The longer I looked into the reflection, the more I wanted that to be the primary subject of the image. To do that, I rotated the image 180 degrees. It made a huge difference and created a visual puzzle that is slightly unsettling and draws the eye.
Camera: Nikon D810 Lens: Zeiss Milvus 50mm ISO: 400 1/60 sec f/8
That’s a really amazing work!
