Crepuscular Rays

I’m a sky-watcher. I enjoy watching clouds blow through … and in Western Washington, that can be a full time occupation. Spring and fall seem to be the best at catching crepuscular rays … or at least I seem to notice them more that time of year. My guess is that we see a lot of them here because the sun angles into the horizon a lot more than southern areas. That’s just a guess, though. And the summer’s even lower angle is offset by fewer clouds.

This was in September 2016.
