This was taken after the first snowfall of the season (in September) near the visitor center on the east side of the summit of Logan Pass on the Going to the Sun Highway in Glacier National Park. It was digging for food … just a last snack before hibernation. Not sure if it was after roots or a marmot.
Wonderful! A majestic animal among beautiful scenery. ❤️
Thanks. Yes, it was spectacular.
Unfortunately, the west side of the highway was closed from fires.
Excellent capture!
Thanks. Glad to have the chance to get it, for sure.
That’s quite a sight!
It attracted a crowd, for sure
Wow…..hopefully with a 500mm telecom
Actually, a 28-300 zoom (at 300!) … and cropped a bunch.
Wonderful!
