
These are a couple of the lampshades that are in the Hastings Building (for more details on this historic building, see my post from June 26th). I’m sure that both of these lampshades were identical … if not now, then when they were installed. Well, as sure as I can be … they are the same shape and style. Interesting that they are different now.

They may have originally been different colours to suit different room styles or maybe some fading has occurred. They’re definitely very interesting. They look like squashes.
Or one could be a ‘close as possible’ replacement…
But now a mystery.
