
I think this may be a Pacific Fritillary, but it doesn’t look completely like the photo in my guide book. Some of the fritillaries I’ve taken photos of in the past look very close to the book, so I’m cautious.

There are several Ai enabled flora and fauna photo identification apps available you can use to pinpoint ID’s including some specialized for birds and butterflies. My sister Liz is a audubon birder and Monarch butterfly volunteer field researcher and photographer with a new Canon 45 mp resolution camera to empower her photography that is awesome. Liz has several of these AI identification apps as well as Syd and have tested several of them. I will as them to send you recommendations if your’re interested
