Juniper Ground Cover

Up in subalpine terrain, common juniper grows as a ground cover. It doesn’t get noticed much, but it has a wonderful growth pattern … it is suited for harsh environments. This was taken at over 5000′ (1524 m) in the Olympic National Park.
