These lilies are growing in my yard. I was walking around the yard with my camera and took quite a few of this plant. I liked the way this one looks with a lot of the detail de-emphasized. It actually has a lot of texture, but I set the new Lightroom texture slider all the way down to the low extreme and really liked the effect.

The effect really brings out their suppleness, and the b/w photography brings out their elegance. I’ve seen them shot in b/w more than once.
