Half Moon over Mt Steel at Sunset
The Marmot Lake area of the upper Duckabush valley (21.1 miles or 34 km on the Duckabush River Trail) in the Olympic National Park provides a dramatic view of Mt Steel. The distance to access the view keeps the casual tourist away.
Sun and Ferry Terminal
This is the Coupeville Ferry Terminal and I was catching the ferry on my way home to Port Townsend, WA. I take photos of crepuscular rays whenever I get a chance … this one has an interesting difference between the left and right sides.
Shore Pines and Sunset
This is along the shoreline section of Olympic National Park. The sunsets aren’t always this dramatic, sometimes they are just gray and drizzly. But when it stops raining, it can be stunning.
