These Calla Lilies are from my yard … and the image was taken with my old Minolta X-570. I used the 750 as my main camera for years until going digital in 2000. I still like the camera … and still like shooting film. I encourage you to find your old film camera (or a relatives) and give it a try. There are plenty of processing lab available with mail service … support your local photo lab!
When I moved to Port Townsend, it was to a location that sits on top of one of the biggest hills in town. Nice for some things … tough for when you are off on a bike ride and the last thing you have to get home is a steep hill climb. I ended up getting an electric assist bike and love it. (I’ve put over 1500 miles on it in the 8 months I’ve had it) This is from The Broken Spoke, the bike shop in PT where I bought my bike.
Another in my series of tree shapes. This is a composite of a number of images with the final having a file size of over 90 megapixels. Now all I need is a wall big enough to print it full size!
Looking southwest from Port Towsend (PT), you can see the Olympic Mountains rising above the Port Townsend Paper Mill … the main employer of PT.
This view is along my regular bike route along the Larry Scott Trail … the trail closely follows an abandoned rail right-of-way near Port Townsend. It’s nice to be able to ride for miles without having to worry about vehicular traffic. I was struck by the clouds.
