Another image that really popped once I readjusted the processing to take advantage of the newer tools in Lightroom. Ellis Cove is an inlet off of Budd Bay in Olympia. Priest Point Park is a wonderful place for walking trails that make you think you are miles from any urban area.

The Sand Man lives at Percival Landing in downtown Olympia. She is owned and operated by a non-profit group that works to protect her as a historic representation of the Puget Sound area. Before highways crossed the land, most travel was done by water and ships like the Sand Man were the backbone of the economy.

By the way, since this is the Sand Man, are you still supposed to use the feminine pronouns?

I have been going back through some images from some time ago … and adjusting the post-processing with the tools currently available in Lightroom. This one really popped out with adding some Texture and Dehaze.

(Actually, I’m not positive this is a stump. It may be a rotted off post.)

This was shot with my old 35mm film camera … at Fort Worden State Part at one of the batteries. It was still early enough in the year that spring growth was still weeks in the future. I’m sure this grass will be growing again shortly.
