
Taken from Marrowstone Island, southeast of Port Townsend. The fog bank is hiding Whidbey Island. The water is the Admiralty Inlet area of Puget Sound. Mt Baker is catching the light of the sunset.

I took a ferry ride the other day and while it was clear and sunny when we left the ferry dock, we soon moved into a fog bank. So much for capturing any whale photos! But during the transition to fog, there were some interesting photos of the shoreline as the fog burned off.


Sort of a “Where’s Waldo?” puzzle for you. Find the eagle in the tree and Mt Baker on the horizon. (those are clues)

This is a series of images stitched into a panorama. Marrowstone Island is on Puget Sound north of Seattle. If you click on the image, it will be loaded larger and you will be able to see Mt Baker in the north (left side) and Mt Rainier just barely visible off the point on the right.
