I have taken more than one image of this collection of shovels. My dad would have thought that someone was using their shovel as a pry-bar to break that many handles out. Of course there are composite handles these days that are almost impossible to break, but they also are not as comfortable to use as a shovel with a wood handle. The wood has some flex to it that the composite does not. It’s pushing that flex too far that breaks the handle, of course.
Sorry to not have the variety for these. I know that’s important for some folks … I’m less concerned with the variation.
Calla Lilies are classically photogenic. So I had to try my eye at them.
I took these this week in my garden. I have had this little bunch of Siberian Iris since we bought the house, but this was the first year that I have pruned back the old vegetation in the fall. In past years I had some blooms in January, but I’m getting lots more blooms and earlier. Not sure if it is the pruning or not, but the weather hasn’t been particularly unusual this fall. We’ll see … if I remember to prune in October next fall.

Some of the flowers in my garden in early July. Especially nice to be able to enjoy the hydrangea … these are high enough that maybe they will be ignored by the deer. (fingers crossed)
