Dogwood Blooms

Dogwood Blooms

This is not a wild dogwood, but one planted along a hiking/biking/horse trail and road (on the island between the two). But I thought it was a nice collection of blooms.

Just a little plant trivia: the dogwoods tiny four-petaled flowers are clustered in a tightly packed, flattened cyme at the center of four showy white petal-like bracts.
