The “typical” autumn photograph shows brightly colored foliage. There are other fall colors though: I love the colors of fall vegetables.
Red Dog Farm is a local (in Chimacum, a small town outside of Port Townsend, WA … which is also a small town) organic farm that includes a CSA program (Community Sustained Agriculture). This photo is from the weekly Farmer’s Market in Port Townsend.
This is one of the back alleys of Port Townsend, WA. I really hope that folks using that door are careful with that first step.
I was out walking in a neighborhood that is deeply multicultural. So, I have no idea why this dragon (?) was hung … part of some festival or celebration, I suppose. But when I looked up, it had taken a bite out of the moon and was going back for more.
This totem pole is in downtown Port Townsend. It stands outside the Northwest Maritime Center and Wooden Boat Foundation.
This is downtown Port Townsend’s main intersection. The traffic light is set to blink red in all directions … but because the lights are mounted on the street corners instead of hanging in the middle of the road, there are a lot of drivers (especially visitors) that miss the lights and run the intersection. Fortunately, the speed limit is 20 mph and traffic is slow.
