One of the abandoned buildings in Fort Worden State Park, Port Townsend. This building in on top the hill away from the majority of buildings … including the ones that are now referred to as the Creative Commons. These include the classrooms for Northwind School of the Arts, where I occasionally teach classes in Adobe Lightroom.
I really was struck by the pattern of the shadows and the interplay of light between the shadows and the leaves. Tomorrow is the Equinox, so I guess technically these are not “autumn” leaves …
(I took this a couple weeks back and it was the first time I noticed leaves that had fallen, but there are lots more now.)
Walking along the beach at Fort Worden State Park in Port Townsend, WA, I noticed these two pieces of seaweed sticking out of the sand. The curved shapes and shadows attracted my eye.
After I took the previous post’s shots of the rainbows, I turned and walked over to the marina. I was looking directly into the sun and took these images of the boats in the marina. I used slightly different post-processing settings and the top image is more contrasty. I like it better than the one below… but when I increased the contrast on that one, it just didn’t work as well.
I have a routine of walking the length of downtown Port Townsend … a round trip is about 1/2 mile (so I usually do several laps). Just after a shower, there was a clearing and the sun off of the wet sidewalk was pretty dramatic.
