There aren’t any gardens here now, but historically this was the site where the local Chinese population had their gardens back in the late 19th century. The clouds are what caught my eye.

Me and My Shadow
I usually try to avoid having my shadow in the photo. But I decided to intentionally include it in these shots (really!) … just because you should always break the photo rules once in a while. I kinda like how these turned out.
Signs of Spring
Nice to see these blossoms out the other day … but then we had another couple inches of snow. But that’s springtime weather too, I guess. Well, early spring, anyway.
A Dusting of Snow
This is one of the trails (and maintenance roads) at Fort Worden State Park here in Port Townsend. It is only a mile or two from my house, but the weather changes rapidly across the area – here on a peninsula sticking out into salt water (Admiralty Inlet on Puget Sound). At home there was still an inch of icy snow on the street (a cul-de-sac … so not much traffic).
Leafs on Asphalt
I selected the blacktop of the service road using a color picker in Lightroom and darkened it until its detail disappeared. The willow leafs that were left had made an interesting pattern that had caught my eye: the processing made them stand out even more as an abstract pattern.
