This was a photo of the interior of my first bus (the bus I was assigned to drive in Seattle in September 1977). It is an example of a “pre-77” school bus … with metal backed seats, bare metal vertical supports and seat frames, besides lacking other significant construction standards.
I donated the framed image to the silent auction at the Washington Association for Pupil Transportation annual conference in Yakima in June 2015.
