
These shore pines are contorted by the near constant wind along the Pacific beaches of the Olympic National Park. Easy to tell which way the wind blows.

I don’t usually convert sunset photos to Black and White … since they are often photos that are “about” the colors. This one, however, had such interesting patterns and lines that I thought the color was distracting. (and, this isn’t likely to burn, either)
The location is Kalaloch on the beach of the Olympic National Park.
