I had a nice clear day in October with no plans. I decided to go visit Mt St Helens for the first time in years.
I was particularly lucky in being there on a clear day without haze. And just after the first snowfall of the year.
It was really windy. I was being blown around enough that I used a tripod. I set the zoom at about 100mm and took a series of 7 images and used Photoshop to stitch them together. There is an incredible amount of detail. I had a 24×60 print made that is on the wall above my work table.
