Inside Passage Mists

In May 2017, I took the ferry up to Haines, Alaska to visit my aunt. It is a great trip: you leave Bellingham WA on Friday at 6PM and get to Haines on Monday at noon. Except when you pull into a port, there is no cell coverage … and no internet. Nothing to do but read and watch the islands float by. Wonderful.

The weather was raining most of the time.

There were many views up channels between islands … and I have no recollection of which one is. But I really liked the way the clouds hung on the islands and provided great atmospheric effects.
