The High Divide trail along the ridge between the Sol Duc and Hoh rivers is one of the most scenic and heavily travelled in the Olympic National Park. When the weather is clear, the view across the Hoh to Mt Olympus is stunning. The Hoh Valley is prime rain forest, however, so the weather is rarely clear except in mid-summer.

I took the photo that this colored ink drawing was based on in August 2006. It was 2014 when I used the photo to make this image.
